Also note as we are launching this new app we will be making enhancements and modifications based on feedback and some of the screens may look slightly different as well.
Common Reasons for “Punch outside Geo-Fence” or "Punch location outside of approved area" error message.
An error message may be received due to the following reasons:
1.Phone battery:If the battery is low, the phone will utilize the battery save mode and the frequency of location updates will decrease.
2.Connection strength:If the signal is weak, the phone will take longer to update to the latest location.
3.Permissions: Do not turn off location permissions to extend the battery life of the phone. Once correct permissions are enabled, the location will update in a few minutes.
4.Site location: Large or metal buildings, concrete canyons, and basements all can cause location inaccuracy.
Solutions
Solutions to improve the app's chance of getting the latest location, confirm the following:
1.Phone battery:Be sure the phone’s battery is sufficiently charged.
2.Connection strength:Check the phone’s connection and confirm the connection is strong enough.
3.Permissions: Turn on your location permissions a few minutes before sending your location so that the phone has enough time to update the location before providing it to the app.
4.Site location: Connect to Wi-Fi to help increase location accuracy.
